Is it still 100 baht entrance fee?

I read where Thai Airways International plans to acquire 15 new aircraft by 2014 for Bt35.5 billion. Perhaps they will fly the New York to Bangkok flight again.
-
It is a term blacks use between themselves, but usually still a derogatory term.

The "Kite Runner" is an excellent movie. It is worth seeing it. It is available on DVD.

You get what you pay for. The Marriott, Royal Cliff, Dusit buffets are usually excellent, but you pay the price. Apex and Lek can be hit or miss but what do you expect for 110 baht? Something simple like scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, coffee and fruit are hard to mess up. You would pay much more for coffee, juice and an egg McMuffin at McDonalds.

Big productions like Titanic and Avatar are so much better than on a small TV screen. It is worth the extra 120 baht, in my book.

Time of day is probably very important. I was there at the morning rush. The place was crowded, although still plenty of seating. The food fresh, although I didn't like the coffee. The staff was very attentive in keeping the buffet trays full. Perhaps the place might be worth a revisit, if you are in the neighborhood at breakfast time.

I always thought COBRA was your same insurance you had while employed, but you pay the total cost of the policy.

Similiar to some Thais I have heard of. Human nature, maybe?

Frank Sinatra still had a voice in his golden years and looked alright. Some of these fat, balding, old rockers just look silly to me.

I will have to disagree with you. No matter if you use nigger or nigga, both words are derogatory.

I asked a young person when the next Issan Festival will be held on 3rd road. I was told February 14. Has anyone else heard this to be true?

Here is an interesting comment from the Pattaya Daily News. Of course, sex slavery and child prostitution is not right, but seems the Christian Fundamentalists exploit the issue to obtain money and try to make the world conform to their view. CONTRADICTORY STANCES ON UNDER-AGE SEX AND SEXUAL EXPLOITATION There has been yet another incident reported of under age prostitution reported in Pattaya, resulting in Western Human Rights Agencies such as the International Justice Mission crying exploitation, yet this whole controversy contains certain ambiguities. The Thai government passed a law in 1996 Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act, B.E. 2539, essentially due to Western moralistic pressure, making prostitution illegal. Yet, it should be pointed out that the oldest profession doesn’t carry the same stigma as it does in the West, which is one of the reasons so many Western men come to Thailand, solely for this purpose. One wonders what their stance on their own government’s conduct in Iraq is! Initially, the IJM maintained they were combating child prostitution. When it became apparent to everyone that child prostitutes are quite rare, they jumped on the trafficking bandwagon. Once it becomes obvious that sex slaves are even less common than child prostitutes, what will be their next excuse to obtain grant money from the US government, one asks oneself? It appears to be yet another cynical instance of Christian Fundamentalists on the one hand, highlighting controversial issues to justify their own existence and on the other, yet another attempt by advocates of American Imperialism of trying to foist their value judgements upon the whole world. http://www.pattayadailynews.com/showfeature.php?FeatureID=0000000359

Perhaps they paid attention to your complaint. I had no problems with the food when I visited. Why was it deplorable?

Thanks for that information, Thaimo. Perhaps you are able to help me with another problem. On my computer, I do not have the option of "quote" or "edit." Also sometimes there is a line blocking out part of a post. Is there anything I need to do on my end? When I go to the internet shop, there is no problem.

And Hitler looked good compared to the Ivan the Terrible or the Romans.

Beer Chang stated, "The above is just one example of what could be the next terrorist strike." Let's hope not, but it sure could be possible. Do you think the government is tightening security around power and water plants?
-
Paying the $60,000 would have been the easy way out, but it really was no guarantee of freedom. The lawyer might have taken the money and run.
-
Not my quote, but from the associated press article. Seems the Chinese government wants control over the citizens.
-
What were you implying? Due to a person's accent, what difference if it is pronounced nigger or nigga?
-
Beer Chang stated, "Sex rehab implies there's a problem. He was simply following his instincts." What was it? Twelve or fourteen ladies on the side with a beautiful wife and kids at home. He has no problem and only following his instincts? Yea, right.
-
Even some employed US citizens are not covered. Seems you need to be employed by a good-sized company, have a COBRA policy, or poor enough to be on medicaid.

Both views have valid points. Like Beer Chang, I do not really care what happens. I think Roman will take exception to Bob's paedophile label. I believe Roman stated he did not know how old she was. After viewing an old photograph of the victim, I dare to say most people would judge her to be of legal age. Of course, ignorance is no excuse, but I don't think this one incidence means he is a paedophile.
