  1. I think they figure where women are, the men will follow.
  2. Booze and bikes do not mix. Hope he did not kill an innocent bystander.
  3. You might try Carrefour, Big C, or Tesco's for inexpensive sneakers. Not great quality, but cheap.
  4. Not only in the third world, but I would guess this happens in the first and second world, too.
  5. Huckabee seems happy at Fox. Maybe Palin will also feel the need to stay in television and off the campaign trail?
  6. I think it is a good idea to have George W. help with the fundraising. It is a good cause and a lot of cash is needed. If GW cannot get the big republican bucks, nobody can.

She might find a better job at McDonald's.

    A Little Levity

I like this one about the terrorist school teacher. A public school teacher was arrested today at JFK International Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass, a slide-rule and a calculator. At a morning press conference, the Attorney General said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-Gebra movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction. "Al-Gebra is a problem for us", the Attorney General said. "They derive solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values." They use secret code names like 'X' and 'Y' and refer to themselves as "unknowns", but we have determined that they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle". When asked to comment on the arrest, President Obama said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, he would have given us more fingers and toes." White House aides told reporters they could not recall a more intelligent or profound statement by the President. It is believed that the Nobel Prize for Physics will follow.
  9. My friend stated that he did recieve money back from Air Asia for a trip he booked, but did not take. Not sure how much. Maybe it was the airport tax Air Asia charges in the ticket price?
  10. I believe what we consider rude and intrusive may not be viewed the same way in other cultures.
  11. The tax code may have been written by wealthy politicians, but they are politicians elected by the people. Let's demonize the rich!
  12. I have a friend that does not bother to apply for a tourist visa in his home country. He enjoys travel to other countries. He usually plans his trips where he only stays in Thailand 30 days, therefore he obtains a 30 day arrival visa at the airport. This year, due to medical problems, he needs an extra 15 days. Is it possible to go to the immigration office in Jomtien and extend his stay by 15 days? He could do a land visa run but would rather not. If he must do a visa run, what is the closest border town to Pattaya? I think there is a border town in Cambodia, maybe close to Trat?
  13. I understand Sarah has a new job with Fox. The conservatives are going to love her.
  14. This guy is probably a psychopath. Psychopaths or sociopaths are people without a conscience. It is all about "me" and he could care less what other people think.
  15. Did I hear somewhere about Tiger's admission to the hospital for sex addiction treatment? I hope it helps. Maybe that will save his marriage.

If I were to guess, I bet she was a nurse assistant and a trainee to boot.
  17. Some say a flat tax is unfair to the poor, as well.
  18. I have also heard from another traveler, if you book a flight on Air Asia and are unable to use that ticket, they will return part of the ticket price (I think the taxes) for the asking.
  19. This from another thread listed under "Pattaya Carnival." It happens February 12-14. PATTAYA CARNIVAL FOR FEB. 2010 Pattaya prepares to tackle the “Guinness Book of Records†for the biggest “Gathering Of Bikini Fashion†on Pattaya’s Jomtien Beach, which will be held on 12-14th February 2010. This will be a colourful and very exciting Brazilian style festival, which is sure to attract lots of visitors. Pattaya prepares to promote its “Pattaya Carnival†by inviting women to wear bikini outfits and join the activities on the beach. The organizers expect to have more than 2,000 bikini clad lovelies from all around the world to come and join this colorful festival. At the Pattaya City Hall on Wednesday September 10th, the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Weerawat Kahkai, held a meeting with the officials and organizers concerned, to discuss the activities planned for the “Pattaya Carnival†which will be an exciting Rio de Janeiro style annual festival planned for 2010. Two of the organizing companies displayed their ideas to the meeting, mainly aimed at presenting creative ideas for the promotion of tourism in Pattaya. The bid event will held at the multi-purpose areas on Jomtien Beach, between 12-14th February 2010. “The Bikini Fashion Show Contest†in this Pattaya Carnival is expected to see the highest number of women wearing bikinis, who will all gather together on Pattaya’s popular Jomtien Beach. This will be a very colourful and exciting event, so it will provide some great photo taking opportunities for both visitors and locals alike. http://www.pattayada...NEWS=0000010324
  20. I don't think they know they are being rude and intrusive. Probably just trying to feed their family?
  21. Is that why accidents on the highway back home creates traffic jams? People in the opposite direction slow down and rubberneck, in order to see what happened.
  22. The Canadian should have had more sense. Too many farangs think things work the same way as in their home country. NOT.
  23. The media gives the public what they want and what sells.
  24. The tax system is really too complicated. Perhaps the answer is doing away with the present system and pass a flat tax or maybe a value added tax to replace it. I should think that would simplify the system. But knowing today's politicians, it is not likely to happen. I try to understand the system, but find they are constantly changing the rules. I spend too much money on tax prep, but find it easier to have it done.

Mistakes can always happen, even with blood tests. I knew a guy that worked as a lab technician in a county lab. Knowing this guy, I am sure there were plenty of inaccurate tests.
