  1. Florida prisons, has more than 70 percent of juvenile defendants locked up for life for nonhomicide crimes. Now the Supreme Court is being asked to say that locking up juveniles and throwing away the key is cruel and unusual punishment. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091108/ap_on_go_su_co/us_supreme_court_juvenile_sentences What about the juveniles that commit homicide. What should society do with those kids? Here is a case where a 10 year old shot his father because he was angry. What does society do in this case? The ten year old told the 911 operator, "I was so over my head. I shot him in the back of the head. I got so angry at him.†He cannot face adult sanctions because New Mexico law says a child must be 14 or older to be tried as an adult for murder. The boy remains in the custody of his mother. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091106/ap_on_re_us/us_child_shooting
  2. I was pretty young and innocent at one time, but I don't think I was ever so dumb as to do any self injections to enhance my body. Certainly on the top ten list of dumbest things to do.
  3. Not only dumb but dangerous. This is marketed to young teenage girls that are very gullible. The article said, "The so-called ancient herbs, contains estrogen which can harm the body and even cause cancer when consumed regularly or in large amounts."
  4. This internet scam is crazy. How can anyone believe these claims? Idiotic! THAILAND – The department of food and medicine has addressed the issue of a lolly brand, marketing itself over the internet with false and harmful advertising. The company has stated on its products that the lollies increase the size of breasts. The product’s catch phrase is, “Miracle Boober.†The number of buyers on the internet has skyrocketed. The department said there was a similar case earlier this year involving breast enlargement cookies and that these cock-and-bull products usually state that they contain a mixture of ancient herbs and special ingredients that enlarge breasts while keeping the body slim and firm. The department said that the lollies are a product line extension strategy by the same company. The packaging contains Japanese text and appears to be from Japan - but when authorities examined international importing records they found no trace of the brand or any legal registrations to the product. It is believed that the lollies are being carried in by various individuals or that they are even domestically produced. The so-called ancient herbs, contains estrogen which can harm the body and even cause cancer when consumed regularly or in large amounts. The lollies can also prevent women from breastfeeding; and in men, significantly reduce sperm count. The department said they will track down the sellers of these illegal products and that the people behind ‘Boober’ will fined and sued and desecrated, for lying to the young generations of people. The Boober Lollies advertisement slogan on the internet is: “Boob Boom within 7 days, No Surgery Needed. Note: The people buying the products should also be fined and sued and desecrated because they are idiots. Writer: Adrian Tse & Chet Chetchotisak http://thebangkokallegory.blogspot.com/
  5. You would think she could have passed the test after a taking it a few times. Maybe at 68, there is a little dementia? You do have to admire her resolve.
  6. This is really crazy! LAMPANG – A new trend in Lampang, Thailand, among male teens is to buy tubes of beeswax and inject it into their penises. Many have been admitted to hospital after severe infections. One 20-year-old college student revealed that he had bought the beeswax mix from his friends, for a penis enlargement. He said that everyone said the mix could enlarge his penis instantly without surgery. He believed them. The procedure was to use the beeswax – normally applied to burnt skin and infections and commonly available in pharmacies – and place it in a pot of boiling water, together with the tube; then wait for the tube and the beeswax to melt together into slimy liquid. Next, prepare a syringe to suck out the liquid from the tube, before injecting it in areas around the penis and gently stroking the shaft to smooth out any bumps. The logic, if there is any, behind the process is that the beeswax will solidify inside the penis, hence, enlarging it permanently. The man did exactly this and was impressed by the results; he became very confident for about a week. After that he noticed a rash around his penis but didn’t pay much attention to it. He bought anti-inflammatory pills but to his surprise, the rashes started appearing all over his groin. The man suffered high fevers and became extremely ill. His mother found him in bed and took his pants off and discovered a rotten penis. He was immediately taken to hospital for surgery. The doctor had to remove a lot of skin from his shaft and replace it with skin from his scrotum. He is still recovering at hospital. A journalist went to a pharmacy to get detailed information about the beeswax cream. The pharmacist said that the cream only costs 20 baht, and is often purchased by pet owners to apply to the skin wounds of animals. The pharmacist was surprised that somebody had used the beeswax cream for ‘other purposes’. http://thebangkokall...y.blogspot.com/ Writer: Adrian Tse & Chet Chetchotisak
  7. At 68, this woman is not going to take no for an answer. I like that determination. I hope she does not have to take the "behind the wheel test" 950 times. SEOUL, South Korea – A woman in South Korea who tried to pass the written exam for a driver's license with near-daily attempts since April 2005 has finally succeeded on her 950th time. The aspiring driver spent more than 5 million won ($4,200) in application fees, but until now had failed to score the minimum 60 out of a possible 100 points needed to get behind the wheel for a driving test. Cha Sa-soon, 68, finally passed the written exam with a score of 60 on Wednesday, said Choi Young-chul, a police official at the drivers' license agency in Jeonju, 130 miles (210 kilometers) south of Seoul. Police said Cha took the test hundreds of times, but had no specific total. Local media said she took the test 950 times. Now she must pass a driving test before getting her license, Choi said. Repeated calls to Cha seeking comment went unanswered. She told the Korea Times newspaper she needed the license for her vegetable-selling business. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091106/ap_on_fe_st/as_odd_skorea_aspiring_driver;_ylt=ArGAJRxlxnq8q0cLkqagKPjtiBIF;_ylu=X3oDMTJ1Z2JkZTR1BGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMDkxMTA2L2FzX29kZF9za29yZWFfYXNwaXJpbmdfZHJpdmVyBGNwb3MDMgRwb3MDNgRzZWMDeW5fdG9wX3N0b3J5BHNsawNza29yZWFud29tYW4-
  8. Here is a sculture that came up for auction on a New Zealand site. Now isn't this a bunch of shit? WELLINGTON, New Zealand – A sculpture of a New Zealand government minister crafted from cow manure sold for New Zealand dollars 3,080 ($2,220) on an auction Web site. The bust of New Zealand Environment Minister Nick Smith, sculpted as a protest by artist Sam Mahon, attracted 112 bids before being picked up by an anonymous buyer on Friday. Mahon said he created the sculpture, and chose the medium, to protest what he considers Smith's too-soft stance on pollution created by dairy farms. He said the bust did not smell and would last forever. "The sculpture has a hollow head, which is very fitting. It is highly polished and sits on the stand slightly to the right of center," Mahon said. Mahon gathered cow dung from an organic dairy farm, ground it in a coffee grinder, mixed it with a polymer resin and pressed it into a mold. He polished the sculpture with beeswax to create a finish that resembles bronze. Smith joked about the tribute Friday. "Excuse the pun, but I would describe it as crap art," he said. Mahon's said he will use the proceeds from the auction to help clean up waterways polluted by effluent from dairy farms near his home. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091107/ap_on_fe_st/as_odd_new_zealand_manure_sculpture

It seems to me, every store you go to has many products made in China. The real cheap Chinese products are found at the dollar stores. Much of that stuff is junk.
  10. Here is a story about another dumb action. This wind company says this site is too windy for a farm. I thought that was what they were looking for? RUMFORD, Maine – A wind-power company says a western Maine site it's been looking at is too windy for turbines. First Wind's Matthew Kearns told a public meeting in Rumford on Thursday that its proposed Longfellow wind farm on Black Mountain and North and South Twin mountains may not be viable. The Sun Journal of Lewiston quotes Kearns as saying First Wind's studies so far show that gusts atop Black Mountain are too strong for turbine engineering to handle, and that's a problem for wind turbine bearings. Kearns said the Massachusetts-based company would not propose wind towers on North and South Twin mountains even if it finds a turbine that could handle the strong winds on Black Mountain. A separate wind power project is under construction on Record Hill in Roxbury, also near Rumford. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_odd_too_windy

    Muscle Bound Boy

I don't know if it is a myth or not, but I always thought growing bodies should not be exposed to strenuous and repetitive activities, as well. I cringe when I hear about mom and dad's pushing football, baseball and hockey on young kids.
  13. We will have to watch if it comes up for auction again.
  14. What would I do with $4.4 million? That is a good question. Based on my life expectancy, I may buy an annuity that would give me a set amount of money to spend each year. Like Lvdkeyes, I would travel the world and see if I am able to spend all my yearly allowance. Might be fun giving money away and see how many lives might be changed for the better.
  15. I am not sure but do not think all airlines are doing that yet.
  16. Although some may resent being called "Hey, Joe" by a stranger, I would try to look at it in the best light and not take it as an insult.
  17. I bet Teeranu Wipuchanin and others still receive jail time. Perhaps the king will pardon them?
  18. Do you think the judges did a good job? Do you think the Japanese contestant was the best and the Thai contestant runner-up?
  19. Let's hope Jay had to go through many intelligent people before he was able to find the dumb ones to put on the show.
  20. Hopefully when a psychiatrist needs help, they will turn to another psychiatrist or psychologist for assistance. I know listening to the problems of other people for a living would depress me. My heart really goes out to the soldiers and families of these soldiers. Can you imagine coming back from a tour of duty overseas and then being killed or wounded at home in your Army base. What a tragedy.

    Muscle Bound Boy

But what if it is true. What if the boy wants to be like Dad and shows interest in lifting weights? In the photos and video I have seen, it seems no physical harm has been to the boy. It is hard for me to believe but it is a possibility, isn't it?
  22. The auction is over. Sixty-four bids were made and the winning bid was $10,099.99. That is quite a difference from the $43,700 bid from the earlier auction. I bet the City of Proctor officials wish they had not used the words La-Z-Boy in the description.
  23. Lucky that fleeing Pattaya is easy with Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and other nearby countries easy to visit. You do not even have to leave Thailand to divorce yourself from the water onslaught.
  24. This is weird story about children who drink whole milk. A study found: Children as young as eight who drink milk every day have a lower body mass index than those who drink the low fat variety, according to the study from Gothenburg University in Sweden. The new study found that children who drink full fat milk weigh on average almost nine pounds less than other children. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/6504766/Children-who-drink-full-fat-milk-weigh-less-than-those-who-do-not.html
