A win-win situation. Too bad more couples can't work things out like that. You would have thought Prince Charles and Diana could have worked out a suitable arrangement.
Reminds me of the time I was on Ilo Ilo. We took a motorcycle taxi with about 8 people piled on. Luckily it had a side car but not much power for that much weight. We made it to the destination. Luckily it was not far.
I will give it a go. I guess you need to hire a baht bus. I have never ventured down Jomtien Beach Road to the end and does it dead end. About how many kilometers or miles would you say it is?
Getting back to Member Rank Titles, I noticed Thaimo and Smoker have over a hundred posts but are still newbies? What's up with that? Did they find the poster's version of the fountain of youth? Oh how I would like to be a newbie again.
Safety issues back home would be a big concern. I thought it might be nice for short trips around town. In Thailand, it would be like having a motorbike but covered from the rain and a little more safety than a bike.
She gave the entire $1.8 million to the Tourism Authority of Thailand. No monies went into her pockets. If you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you.
My basis for stating that a Thai prison may be cruel and unusual punishment is based on a book I read a few years ago. Can't remember the name but it was about an Australian man that was thrown into prison for drug smuggling. The horrors he endured were unbelievable. I hope as Thaifan believes, the Thai prison system is not as bad as some say.
I jumped about 12 years ago. It really gets the heart pumping. After the first jump is under your belt, it really is fun. Some might say it is thrilling, some might say crazy.
When I opened my account at Kasikorn, they charged me 200 baht for a Visa card. This card has the Visa logo on it but does not have your name on it. I have never used it in a shop but only in the ATM. I guess it is more like a debit card. I thought it was a one time charge but they debit my account 200 baht every year.
I have been to Noon Nooch but did not notice Pattaya floating market. I guess they have canals around the shopping mall, thus the name floating market.
I have never been to India and so cannot comment on its cleanliness. It is a big country with a lot of poor people, but things are changing. When I talked about a 1 or 2 star hotel, I was referring to the western or European standard.
When I opened my bank account Kasikorn was my second choice. The first choice told me I had to go to immigration and receive some sort of permission. Went to Kasikorn Bank and no problems. I like the fact that Kasikorn has online banking service, as well.
