They (red shits) don't seem to care that they are putting their own people out of work. -

Let's hope this brings a peaceful end to all this. -
The saying -Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back, rings true. Glad I could help.

There were four posters who qualified for the drawing. The winner has not been hear from for several months. The owner has said that if he doesn't respond by June 1, there will be another drawing.

Another motive for kidnapping is ransom. The article only says kidnapping a minor, so any other speculation is just that. End of my postings to this thread.
-
I wouldn't classify kidnapping as a sex crime, but there are, indeed, three swamis or holy men mentioned.
-
Yes, the article mentions two.

I receive Social Security from the US and periodically I get a questionnaire from them. One of the questions is Have I taken up citizenship of another country. The form says my answers may affect my Social Security benefits.

Certainly scores of priests have been accused.
-
At least he is not molesting children and it seems to be only one guy, not scores of priests.

I feel sure they must pick up on the dark side, but the best way to find out is to call them and ask.
-
When I looked it up it didn't show rates for long term parking.
-
I have only been to the airport in my car to pick someone up and there was no evidence of a shuttle from parking lot to terminal. Parking fees are 250 baht/24 hours. The bus is cheaper than the one day parking fee.
-
Of course, the more choices we have the better off we are regarding service and cost.

I used Bell today from the airport to Pattaya. There is no booth, only a sign on a tripod between gate 7 and 8 on the 1st floor. They did not ask if I made a reservation. I talked to the guy about the problem of waiting for late passengers and he said he would tell them in the office. It would be beneficial to everyone who uses their service to let them know when these kinds of things happen.
-
The problem is not Bell, but rather the passengers who are not ready when the van comes to pick them up. I used Bell on Apr 12 and when the van got to a hotel the passengers had just gotten to the lobby and insisted to have their breakfast even though the driver told theen there were other passengers waiting. It would have served them right if he had just told them they would have to get to the bus station on their own and left, but, that is not the Thai way and they want the business. When I get back to BKK on 20th I will check to see if there is a Bell booth at the airport and if they say anything about making a reservation. They have never said anything to me in the past. I do intend to voice my concern about having to wait when other passengers are late, especially waiting while they have their breakfast.

Protesters Block Heart of Bangkok’s Shopping Area

I just got this from another website: At 10:35pm I received the following from a friend via text message. He did not say his source, but here is what he said: _____ FLASH: At least 5 dead, 300 wounded in Bangkok clashes with Red-Shirts. Report: One foreign tourist was shot in the chest after saying to a soldier "Fuck you." __________________ THE NATION is reporting at least 8 dead, 486 wounded so far. I can't get through to the BANGKOK POST to see what they're saying. I've tried several times, but it won't load right now. In any case, no matter which media source has the latest accurate information, obviously there have been deaths and numerous injuries. It's a shame to see it come to this, but there it is. -
I may have been misleading. The mini van is only from home to the N. Pattaya bus station or from the station to home. From the N. Pattaya bus station to the airport is a nice air conditioned bus.
-
At one time I owned a restaurant/bar in the US. There were so many headaches, I can't even imagine what it must be like to have a business here.
-
I have used Bell many times and have never had a complaint about leg room on the bus. The mini bus is a typical 9 seat minibus. Not the best for leg room, but the ride is short.
-
I have booked with Bell because of the door to door service. It saves me from hiking to the road to get a baht bus to take me the short ride to get the bus at Foodmart. It is certainly worth the 200 baht which is not a lot of money.

The trip to the US Embassy was uneventful. The only thing we saw as we left the embassy was a caravan of cars and pickups loaded with red shirts waving red flags and shouting over PA systems driving on Wireless Road on the opposite side of the road from the embassy.
