  1. My understanding is that you must renew it where you are living at the time of renewal.
  2. And the nuts say is was not the real certificate.
  3. I still disagree with this "no choice" plea.
  4. As I understand it, holding s US passport is a privilege, not a right and can be denied with justification. Law enforcement officers can request denial.
  5. Some of it may be blamed on the "no child left behind" concept of education. Any dumb bell can get a high school diploma and go on to college with some money and not have a clue as what is going on around him/her. Years ago my mother was mailing a package from Chicago to Astoria, Oregon, where my sister lived. The postal clerk told her she had to put the country on the package. My mother asked her why that was necessary since it was being mailed within the US. The clerk was astonished when my mother pointed out that Oregon was in the US. I have had cashiers in fast food restaurants who could not make change when the register failed to work properly. An EKG technician in a hospital where I worked came to the desk and told us that we needed to notify the doctor that his patient had irregular hear rhythms. The patient had been dead for over an hour. I know a retired teacher in the US who has a Master's degree plus hours who didn't know the word was marmalade, not PARMALADE and didn't know that the small fish in a tank were not GUFFIES. Any need to go on?
  6. I agree, but I also don't understand why the home country would allow a convicted felon to have a passport at all.
  7. I, also, have been living in Thailand for 5 years. It beats me why anybody would be enamored with this clueless woman.
  8. Brings to mind something my father often said, "Why are there more horse's asses than there are horses?"
  9. I recall many years ago being in a restaurant in Cambridge, England with an English friend. We had deplorable service which we complained about. It didn't get any better. I was paying for the dinner, but when the bill came my friend grabbed it. When he saw that they added service charge, he called the waiter ant told him we were not paying the service charge. After arguing, my friend demanded to speak to the manager. The manager was trying to justify the service charge. Finally, my friend checked his wallet and found that he had change enough to pay the bill without the service charge. He handed it to the manager. When the manager protested, my friend said, "Call the police if you want, we will wait right here." He didn't call the police and we left. If that had been in the US, I would have handled it the same way. I was reluctant to make a fuss being a tourist there.

    Have you tried Torrentbox?
  12. I suspect it has to do with the Thais attitude toward sex in general. Many parents don't see it as a problem if it puts food on the table.
  13. This nonsense of saying Obama was born in Africa is so easily proven. All the Republicans would have to do is look at the State Department records and see where Obama's mother was at the time of his birth. If there was any merit to this stupid allegation the Republicans could have done that long ago.

    Cat vs. Cop

This guy should have been reprimanded by the police force for his treatment of the kitten.
  17. This, of course, was not a case where she made a choice to become a prostitute.
