  1. The deterrent is that that individual will never kill again. IMHO, people like Gacy, Dahmer, & Manson to name a few are better off dead and society is better off without them.
  2. Depending where the person lives, that is a distinct possibility.
  3. LOL, if you are watching your weight, the chocolate is far from the worst part. Did you watch them cook it and see the amount of oil/margarine that was used?
  4. Actually, the first show of that type I saw was at the Blue Dahlia in Chicago many years ago.
  5. I agree with that concept. In Japan tipping is not customary and service people get confused when a tip is offered.
  6. I believe they do think, "I am going to Pattaya and have sex for money and get rich." Then they choose to go. They may or may not know what it all involves, but they choose to go without finding out the details.
  7. I was not placing blame; it is not blame unless you perceive it to be wrong.
  8. If you are going to copy and paste it would be helpful to delete the superfluous words in order to make it easily readable.
  9. The cause of death was cessation of breathing and heartbeat. All the rest are contributing factors. Pulmonary edema was one factor in this case.
  10. NO, not like a confession. In the case I stated (Gacy) there was irrefutable evidence. Manson family, Dahmer and a host of others.
  11. Of course it is, but it is not what a tip is supposed to be, IMHO. I think a tip is for good service provided. There is no service if I have to go to the counter, order my food, pay for it and wait for it to be ready and then carry it to a table. And then, be expected to dump the refuse in the trash afterward.
  12. And have Medicare benefits extended to people who have paid into the system since inception, but live in another country.
  13. At a cost of hundreds of thousands of tax payer dollars? Again, I will say, when there is absolute certainty of guilt, there needs to be a mechanism to expedite the process.
  14. So, just to say the cause of death was pulmonary edema doesn't tell the whole story.
  15. Tipping has gotten way out of hand. Even self service restaurants have tip jars on the counter. For what is the tip supposed to be?
  16. Bush may well be gone, but the damage he did lives on.
  17. Now, do we protest that they have an ad for a pedophile?
  18. It is not so far fetched considering how he got into office the first time.
  19. The report doesn't explain why a healthy appearing guy of 33 years suddenly develops pulmonary edema so severe it kills him. This extracted from the cited report: "Very high blood pressure or heart rate can also put considerable stress on the system. Overdoses of stimulant drugs such as cocaine and even non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines have been associated with pulmonary oedema."
  20. I understand about appeals, etc. My question is why were they allowed when it was absolutely certain that he committed the crimes. I know it is the judicial system. The question is: why? There should be an expedient way of getting rid of these types to save the costs involved.
  21. We do make choices in life, good, bad or indifferent. Many times we have to choose the lesser of two evils, but still, we make a choice and have to live with that decision unless we choose to change the circumstances.
