Beer Chang
Sure is. Mostly African carriers and the former USSR. Indonesia too. 1-2-Go and also one Cambodian airline.
Wino
Thanks for listing that. It is a long list. I am surprised that Indonesia Air Asia is on the list. Does that have anything to do with Thai Air Asia or the one headquartered in Malaysia?
Bob
I am surprised that Indonesia Air Asia is on the list. Does that have anything to do with Thai Air Asia or the one headquartered in Malaysia? I hope not (I'm flying Air Asia next week) and my guess it is not....as I know Air Asia is based in Malaysia and I've never heard it referred to as Indonesia AirAsia. Edit: Just checked the Air Asia website and found this statement: "To date, AirAsia has flown over 55 million guests across the region and continues to spread its wings to create more extensive route network through its associate companies, Thai AirAsia and Indonesia AirAsia." So, looks like it's an affiliate of some sort as is "Thai AirAsia."
Wino
I have flown Thai Air Asia many times and am happy with the service, planes, and safety. I have flown to Indonesia on Air Asia but it was from Bangkok and I think it was still Thai Air Asia. I guess Indonesia Air Asia flies only within their borders? Not sure. Thaifan
I thought One-Two-Go had ceased to operate? I flew them several times a couple of years ago and never had any problems. Now I tend to use AirAsia because as a resident I am more price driven than I was when I was a Tourist, however Bangkok Airways is still my favourite. (partly cos of the cute guys they employ, I am sure)

I think AirAsia is great, due mostly because of the inexpensive fares. I wonder what the criteria are for the EU to put an airline on the list. I would guess it has something to do with the maintenance schedule.
lvdkeyes
I flew One-Two-Go once from BKK to CM. The only problem for me was I had to get to Don Mauang instead of Suvarhanbumi, which cost me more.

Probably not, but I guess the purpose of the list is alert consumers that these airlines do things differently than in the west.
Wino
After reading the following article by Joan Lowy, looks like more airlines should be put on the airline blacklist. WASHINGTON - The Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday proposed levying multimillion-dollar fines against United Airlines and US Airways for safety violations, including flying a plane after mechanics stuffed shop towels into an engine.
