Wino
Looks like both Sarah Palin and Joe Biden will be speaking in Des Moines, Iowa on November 21 in separate fund-raising events. Talk is that Sarah might even be paid $100,000 fee to speak. Is this the beginning of the long election process for 2012? Who, in your opinion, will oppose Obama in the next election? Sarah Palin looks to be the front runner but Pawlenty, Huckabee, and Ron Paul will probably be good challengers. Iowa is an important state in the nomination process and I understand the "marriage amendment" is important to conservatives there.
lvdkeyes
I wouldn't even venture a guess as to what will happen three years from now. I think it would be fool hardy.
WannaGo
I don't know much about Pawlenty, but it would take a great deal of work for Palin and Huckabee to rehabilitate their reputations enough to be considered serious candidates, and I think Ron Paul will always be a marginal player, like Ralph Nader.
