A passenger aboard a northbound D train in Midtown Manhattan was stabbed to death early Saturday after arguing with another man over a seat in the subway car, the authorities said. The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the Seventh Avenue station at West 53rd Street. I'm not sure why but I used to really like some of the old westerns where somebody would blow somebody away for just looking at them stupid. Maybe it made up for the subliminal urges I got many times a day. Same feeling (pleasurable) that I got when John Belushi in Animal House, on ascending the stairway where some nerd was playing kumbaya or the equivalent on his guitar, grabbed the guitar, smashed it to bits, and then calmly walked on.
