Boy Returns $2,000

I wish there were more positive new stories like this. This boy scout returns a purse with almost $2,000 in it. He didn't do it for the reward but received $100. You think that was fair?

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Dec. 16) -- An 11-year-old North Carolina boy has found and returned a stolen purse with nearly $2,000 inside.

The News & Record of Greensboro reported Wednesday that Edward Myers and his siblings were helping neighbors plant trees in a Greensboro park when he spotted a purse on the creek bank.

The Boy Scout and his mother called the police, and the purse's owner showed up to collect.

The owner told police her car was broken into on Thanksgiving. Police say the thief took $30 out of the main billfold but missed $1,900 in another compartment before flinging the purse into the creek.

The owner rewarded Edward with one of the $100 bills. He gave $40 of it to his mother and spent the other $60 on a Carolina Panthers jersey.

A found a wallet at the Cloisters once that had 60 bucks hidden in it. Turned it in, no one claimed it in a month so I got the 60 bucks.

Yea I got to eat my cake and keep it too feeling good cause I turned in the money and got the money.

Although we always here about the many scams in Thailand, most people are very honest. I was at the ATM withdrawing some money. I was counting the 1,000 baht bills and somehow I dropped one. A lady next to me was very kind to pick the bill up and return it to me.

We falang have it pretty good here in the LOS. Their are dozens of countries where we are big targets for robbery and physical harm.
